The prevention program is in need of adult volunteers (18+ and out of high school) to fill a variety of roles throughout the year. From facilitating small groups at camps to chaperoning fun events, there’s an opportunity for everyone. Adult volunteers are also needed to provide transportation to and from camps.
Key to the success of Project PANDA is our volunteer youth staff (grades 9-12) who are positive role models to the younger participants at PANDA Camps. The youth staff have positive attitudes towards a drug-free lifestyle. They meet twice a month to learn more about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, plan PANDA events, and drug-free activities. To be on youth staff, they need to complete an application, which includes recommendations, and an interview with the coordinators. Being on youth staff is a year-long commitment that begins in August with a mandatory youth staff training.
