CHC Addiction Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Kantz, MD as our new Chief Medical Director. As medical director Dr. Kantz will oversee the medication-assisted treatment program (MAT) which serves hundreds of patients per day who are in recovery from opiate use disorder.

A staff physician with CHC since 2018, Dr. Kantz is board certified in psychiatry and is a Certified Addiction Specialist. “Throughout my life and medical training, I have felt drawn to people who are vulnerable and in the most need. Often times, those with substance use disorders are dealing with extreme trauma coupled with institutional health inequities when seeking care. I am passionate about building an atmosphere that is trauma-informed and holistic for our patients. At CHC I believe we have that and more to offer the community,” commented Dr. Kantz.
Originally from the Cleveland area, Dr. Kantz did his undergraduate studies along with legal aid and homeless outreach work in New York City. He came home to attend medical school at NEOMED and now calls Parma Heights home with his wife and children.
