Jan served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CHC for over 30 years. Prior to the COO position, Jan was the Director of the Diagnostic Center. She was named CEO in February 2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Akron. During her tenure, Jan has been very active with CHC, she sits on a variety of committees, staffs the CHC board committees and serves on the CHC Board of Directors as well as the CHC Foundation Board of Directors. She is a member of the Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers, Ohio Alliance of Recovery Providers, Summit County Opiate Task Force, Summit County Community Partnership and United Way Addiction Leadership Council. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Michelle joined CHC Addiction Services in 2018. As the CFO, her general duties include financial reporting and compliance, asset, treasury and risk management. Michelle has a BBA from Baldwin-Wallace University, an MBA from John Carroll University and a CNM (Certificate in Nonprofit Management) from Case Western Reserve University. She previously worked as Finance Chief for area non-profits for 15 years and spent 10 years in Construction and Property Management. Michelle enjoys challenges and finding creative solutions, so she’s excited to be working in Behavioral Health!

Tiffanie Ferguson joined the Community Health Center in 2005, where she is now the Compliance Officer for the agency. In her current role, Tiffanie handles all accreditations/licenses for the agency as well as patient grievances and performance improvement for all of our programming. Prior to CHC, Tiffanie lived in Chicago and worked with inner-city youth. She holds a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and has provided training on substance abuse issues for juvenile court, the Summit County ADM Board, and other organizations. She has also provided expert interviews regarding adolescent substance abuse issues for the Akron Beacon Journal, Channel 3 News, and other media outlets. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Barbara Van Dike has worked at Community Health Center since 1979, becoming the Director of Human Resources in 1988. During her 30+ year history with the agency she has been a part of growing our staff from 30 to 175 professionals. In addition to human resources, Barb manages the benefits program for the agency.
In addition to her role at CHC, Barb is very civically involved in the community. She has served as councilperson for the Village of Mogadore since 2007.

Lauren Munk is an OCPC (Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant) first and an LSW (Licensed Social Worker) second. She has been in the prevention field for over 15 years. She has a degree from The Ohio State University and University of Akron. Lauren originally wanted to be a probation/parole officer, got into the field and decided that was not for her. She returned to school to become a social worker and fell in love with prevention and working with youth. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family climbing rocks and playing with her rats.

Melissa joined CHC in May of 2018. She oversees the housing division of CHC which includes over 180 units of housing for homeless and disabled individuals and families as well as seniors aged 62 and over. Melissa has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Akron. She has over 20 years of experience with housing and program development. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and has recently become a certified scuba diver.

Becky has worked in the field of addictions for the past 33 years as a counselor, coordinator, department director and administrator. In 1996, after 6 years of service at CHC, Becky left to work at another agency but returned 2 years later and has been here for 20 years since that time. She manages oversight of the medical and behavioral health operations of a 500 patient Medication-Assisted Treatment program. This includes coordination of programs and patients within CHC departments and personnel along with maintaining compliance with multiple external entities such as SAMHSA, OHMAS, Joint Commission, DEA, and the State of Ohio Pharmacy Board. Becky has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Miami University, Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with Clinical Supervision credential (LICDC-CS). She has served on several committees over the years and has won CHC staff awards. She was also a part-time instructor at the University of Akron. Becky enjoys reading, hiking, collecting antiques and hanging out with family, friends, and her dog, Zoey. She is also on the women’s leadership team at her church.

Diane joined CHC in October of 2017. She works with leadership and board members to design, implement and evaluate CHC’s development plan and special events. Diane has a BA in Communication from Capital University, and a Master of Public Administration from The University of Akron. She has worked in fundraising, program development and evaluation, and grant management for non-profit and academic organizations in Northeast and Central Ohio. Diane enjoys spending time with her family, and their dog Scout and Tacet the cat.

Jackie joined CHC Addiction Services in March of 1982 as their first intake worker. She works closely with every program in the agency and referral sources for clients to have the proper level of care. Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Akron. In her free time, she is an avid gardener and knitter. She is also the president of a local women’s service club, Pilot Club of Akron.

A couple of his many job duties include, managing the Environmental Services department and supervising the security team. Chuck has an AutoCAD certification from The University Of Akron and is a Graduate of the Facility Management program at The University Of California – Irvine. He has been an employee of CHC since 2002. Prior to working at CHC he operated a home Improvement/remodeling business and also worked for a large telecommunications company as the New Production Supervisor. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking, rock climbing, and competing in obstacle course races.

Jim joined CHC in March of 2012. He runs the Billing Department and oversees Medical Records and Food Service departments. Jim has an MBA from the University of Akron and a BS in Hospitality and Food Service Management from Kent State University. He has been involved in the food service industry for most of his career. Jim has been married to his wife, Debbie, for 30 years, and has 2 adult sons. He loves cooking, and is interested in healthy eating, and enjoys spending time with friends from church.
