We are currently looking for a live-in Residential Advisor to act as a property manager and life management mentor for the residents of Horizon House. The RA will live at Horizon House and have 4 office hours during which he or she must be available on a weekly basis. The RA will adhere to all property rules and policies. Primary job responsibilities include: Greeting new residents, providing a tour of the house and discussing the house rules with each new resident including reviewing emergency procedures; Documenting all house rule violations in a written report both to the resident and to OMCDC along with submitting an ongoing weekly written status report to OMCDC; Notifying OMCDC staff of any major incidents immediately and reporting all maintenance concerns to the OMCDC in a timely fashion; Upholding the spiritual, educational and moral ideals of the Horizon House program.
Minimum requirements: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Some management or supervisory experience preferred. The RA will receive a $300.00 stipend per month, in addition to a bedroom in the Horizon House with paid utilities. The RA will not receive insurance benefits or paid leave.
